The wheel nuts that were fitted on the MR2 when I purchased it were cheap horrible chrome plated lug nuts. Rusting, wrong size, they had to go! I have no idea why someone would fit cheap nasty nuts with the rare RAYS 57F Pro alloy wheels! Comparison photos shown below.
I don’t cheap out on parts for my car. Yes I could’ve purchased cheap replica RAYS lug nuts off eBay… but why risk inferior parts for something quite important?! I imported a full set of RAYS Dura-Nuts from my approved source in Japan. For those that are interested, the nuts for the MR2 are M12x1.5 pitch and are available in 3 different lengths from RAYS. I wen’t for the 42mm straight type. Length really depends on your style of alloys. In my opinion the 42mm are too long for the 57F Pro Wheel but suit my BBS LM wheels perfectly.
